In order to improve the access to basic services and build climate-resilient community infrastructure in conflict-affected areas of the Tigray region, this project supports the Government of Ethiopia to: 

• Provide community-based rapid response to communities affected by conflict to access social services (water, sanitation, health and education).

• Execute medium-term community-based rehabilitation of social infrastructure (WASH, health and education) for communities affected by the conflict based on community-driven developed recovery plans.

• Build community-based institutions for resilience.

 

In close partnership with the Ministry of Finance of Ethiopia, UNOPS is implementing the project through intensive community consultation with due attention to environmental and social considerations to support five Woredas and 365,000 beneficiaries (community-based).
